I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to see some unfinished footage of Turbo at the BFI 3D Creative Summit earlier this year. I have to say even when unfinished this still looked brilliant, so I have been waiting patiently for more information and clips from the makers of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda.

And just to wet your appetite for what looks to be a most excellent animated feature to welcome the winter months, here are a few new clips:

No dreamer too small

Snail Crew

And here’s a little more about the film itself:

Turbo is a high-velocity 3D comedy about an ordinary snail who dares to dream big – and fast.  After a freak accident miraculously gives him the power of super-speed, Turbo kicks his dreaming into overdrive and embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the seemingly impossible: racing against famed driver Guy Gagne.  With the help of Turbo’s tricked-out streetwise snail crew, this ultimate underdog puts his heart and shell on the line to prove that no dream is too big, and no dreamer too small.

The film stars the voices of: Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Snoop Dogg (a.k.a. Snoop Lion), and Samuel L. Jackson

TURBO is released in UK cinemas on 18th October 2013 from Twentieth Century Fox

The Croods make their comments on The Budget and take over Stonehenge! #allinadayswork

The Croods Budget Day

So those cheeky cavemen and women who will be hitting our screens at cinemas nationwide tomorrow may not know what life is like outside of their cave BUT they certainly seem to know what’s going on with our budget!

Dreamworks have managed to draft up a fun additional poster to go with yesterday’s budget announcement – a bit of clever marketing if you ask me!

But they didn’t stop there, it looks like the Croods campaign is hitting all parts of the UK, as these fun viral videos show us The Croods taking over Stonehenge as well (with a bunch of boy scouts, as you do!).

Here’s how it came about …
The Spring Solstice or ‘Vernal Equinox’ recognises the first day of spring and each year sees druids and pagans gather at Stonehenge early in the JMP_STONE_HENGE_CROODS_-3morning to watch the sun rise above the prehistoric stones. The area’s local Scouts were on hand to help roll the colossal CROODS construction into place, marking the first time a modern structure has EVER been allowed on this historic site!

Take a look and see how it all happened and remember the film will be ready for you to watch in cinemas tomorrow, so if you like animations, like Dreamworks and like cavemen, then this looks like your perfect weekend treat!

More about The Croods:

The Croods is a prehistoric comedy adventure that follows the world’s first family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed.  Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures — and their outlook is changed forever.
