The Hunger Games – Catching Fire character posters

As if you weren’t already stirring with excitement about the second installment of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, well to add fuel to the fire, there is now a collection of fantastic character posters for you to view. They look like they belong more in Vogue than anywhere else, and the quirky fashion sense that goes hand in hand with this film is going to have fashionistas going wild with excitement. 

For those of you unfamiliar with what the second book holds, here’s a brief overview for you:

The Hunger Games Catching Fire, begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Fashion and Film Combine at London Fashion Week #Ozthegreatandpowerful

Two of my favourite things, film and  fashion were brought together at London Fashion Week, where a fantastic collection of fashion forward film pieces from Oz the Great and Powerful were placed on display this weekend.

Housed within the British Fashion Council’s show space, the event featured the films exquisite costumes, as worn by Rachel Weisz and Michelle DSC_8989Williams in the film, alongside first look sketches of Nicholas Kirkwood’s shoe designs, which will be available exclusively from Selfridges in early March.

The event also included the first UK look at Deniz Berdan’s inspired dresses and a look at DSC_9187William Tempest’s red carpet dress, which he has designed exclusively for the European Premiere of the film. Guests were also treated to a goody bag from OPI to celebrate their limited edition nail lacquers.

Oz The Great and Powerful, starring Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, James Franco and directed by visionary Sam Raimi, will be released in spectacular 3D in cinemas from 8th March. Costume designers Gary Jones and Michael Kutsche designed, created and assembled nearly 2,000 costumes for the film.

From Cinemas to Cookies!

Hello lovely followers – don’t worry I haven’t abandoned you but I have been so SO busy! Its all been really exciting and I’m so pleased to finally be able to let you know that what I’ve been beavering away at for the last few weeks is a very exciting new show for Millie’s Cookies.

Its been a huge labour of love -as well as a great learning experience and I’m so glad to finally be able to bring it to you all. The show is called “Freshly Baked” it was made by the wonderful production company Etio (www.etio.co.uk) and I was really fortunate to be a big part of bringing this all together. So as you can see its a presenter led show which focuses on music, entertainment, fashion and of course cookies : )

Millie’s is a fantastic brand with lots of fun, quirky aspects to it so its great to be so involved. Plus, its allowing me to do some more studio based presenting work – no shivering on the red carpet for the last month or so! We’ll be working on the next few up coming shows to make them even bigger and better, so please do let me know if you have thoughts for what you would like to see on it, particularly if you’re cookie fans!!
